RE: Tank Heaters

Did you have to clean the old glue or tape off before using the spray/glue/tape? If so what works best to remove the old glue/tape?
Thanks again!

Tank Heaters

One of my tank heater pads has become unglued and is hanging by the wire. Has anyone had a similar experience? How is the best way to reattach it? What type of glue etc. should I use?
Many Thanks!!!

RE: Missing curtain??

You should be able to see your local dealer and order a new one that matches your interior. I was able to on my last TT, however, it was not cheap.

RE: WalMart Boondocking-less of it going on ?

We have not traveled at all this year for many reasons, but we have been parked at our site in Linville, NC. We visit almost every weekend.
I am currently on a business trip in Germany and I was amazed to see about 50 RVs this past Saturday.

RE: Camping World overnights?

If you happened to come down I85 by the Walmart in Salisbury, NC you could stop over there.

RE: New Campground Opening - Linwood, NC

To the best of my knowledge it will not be a membership campround. However, we do have a 1000 Trails near by for that. Cross Winds is family owned and I got the feeling that they want it to be more of a "old-fashion" family campground.

New Campground Opening - Linwood, NC

We have a brand new campground opening up next Friday! I met Arthur and Glenda Morrison yesterday and took a tour of their place. They have about 49 sites ready and will be adding more. The bath house and pool are underway and should be ready next month.

RE: New Converter Odd Noises - is it normal

Overall this sounds normal to me. I've owned 3 RVs and the converter in all of them has made noises. There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason as to when it does this. Although, I don't recall any smells. If you have a good dealer give them a call and discuss it with them.

RE: Swet Spot for economy: Ford v10, etc

Oddly enough for me it seems like no matter what I do I always get 8 mpg.

RE: Traveling with small children in a class C...

Here in NC only the folks in the cab seats must wear a seatbelt and any small children must be in a carseat as usual. Other passenger do not have to wear a seatbelt (just like ridding a bus). That's the law as I was told here in NC. My family of 4 wears a seatbelt. We find that our class c is so much easier to travel in verses the truck & TT we have towed before.

RE: Campground Ownership

We bought our own lot in Linville Land Harbor last summer. It is in Linville, NC. There are quite a few of your Florida neighbors there every summer. It is expensive to own, but we can rent it out if we wish. We leave our MH parked there all year and visit almost every weekend. This way I get to enjoy the MH anytime I want. It is 2 hours away from our home, so we don't mind the drive. Take a look at my pics and my previous posts. Also, do a search on ebay for camping or campground. Often there are lots for sell.

RE: CAMP GROUNDS IN AND AROUND BOONE, NC

I agree there are no really exciting campgrounds in Boone, but please don't let that stop you from camping there. It is such a beautiful place. These are some of the reasons we bought our own site in Linville.

RE: CAMP GROUNDS IN AND AROUND BOONE, NC

My first suggestion is always Flintlock Campground, but it is small and tight. Therefore, I suggest Grandfather Campround. It is much bigger.

RE: Crazy gas prices and an old 79 Shasta-What to do?

Sounds like your doing really good on the mpgs considering the age of your MH. Ours get pretty much the same mpgs. We decided to invest in our own private site instead of investing in the oil company. We are traveling much less for now, but we intend on kicking it up later. You could even consider renting a site somewhere close by. Or buying into a campgroud membership like Thousand Trails, etc. If your interested in a campground membership you should search on ebay... don't pay full price. You could possibly get a membership for a few hundred $$$s.

RE: Disney Fort Wilderness - Breakfast & Dining Plan Questions

During our week trip last year to Disney we brought snacks and cereal for breakfast. We aren't big breakfast eaters plus it was one meal we could count on not having to pay for. As already stated meals are very expensive at Disney. That said if you can afford it then go for it. You probably will not go back for a few years. We have been to the Breakfast with Mickey and the Hoopdy Do Review and enjoyed them. As for the golf cart we rented one and felt is was very necessary, but you should make reservation for it. We almost did not get one.

RE: Maiden voyage - two problems/questions

Congratulations on your RV purchase!
I think most folks would start with taking it back to the dealer. My RV dealer is great. They "should" have the answers you need and "should" fix it for free. I think your diagnosis is correct. The A/C should drain off the roof. The fix could be as simple as some caulking. As for the toilet make sure your keeping the Black and Gray valves closed except when your dumping the tanks.

RE: New Verizon Broadband plan

I signed up for this 50MB/39.99 plan this weekend. It came with a 30 day money back guarantee, however, it only took me 1 day to confirm that 50MB is not enough to do much of anything. Needless to say I'll be returning it this weekend.
Oh... by the way... they also offer a per day usage rate (24 consectutive hours) at a wonderful price of $15.
We were just looking for something for the wife to use breifly for her school work.
